CBS 3 will hold an open casting call for the long-running reality show, “Survivor.” Auditions will be held at the Trump Taj Maha in Atlantic City on Saturday, April 28 from noon to 3 p.m.

CBS 3 staff will assist candidates with the application process at the casting call and shoot their audition videos which will be sent directly to the show’s casting department.

Producers of the iconic reality show are looking for a “diverse group of men and women who represent a broad cross-section of American society.” Applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

• Be a United States citizen and be living in the United States;

• Be in excellent physical and mental health;

• Authorize producers to conduct a background check;

• All semi-finalists must have a valid United States passport.

Contestants will be selected based upon the following traits: strong-willed; outgoing; adventurous; physically and mentally adept; adaptable to new environments; interesting lifestyles, backgrounds and personalities.

The sole survivor at the end of the competition will receive $1,000,000, but according to producers, this prize money will not come easily. The CBS/Casting website states, “Our competitors must be willing to commit to traveling and living in a remote location for approximately seven weeks. Contestants will be filmed up to 24 hours a day by television camera crews to be broadcast on national television. This is reality television. They will actually be living in a remote location, and they will actually be responsible for building their own shelter and finding their own food.” If you’re still “down” and don’t mind eating bugs, visit www.cbsphilly.com for additional information.
