Congratulations and very best wishes to Artisa Deone Lassiter and Orlando Darnell Watts Jr. The couple is eagerly awaiting their wedding day on Aug. 11 in Philadelphia. The Rev. Winston Keene Sr., associate minister of Bethany Baptist Church in Southwest Philadelphia, will officiate at the ceremony. Pastor Donald D. Outterbridge will also participate.
Both Artisa and Orlando are native Philadelphians who met at a social affair, became friends and fell in love. They were engaged in January, which was a welcomed surprise to Artisa. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Theresa Lassiter and the late Robert Buckner. Orlando is the son of Darlene and Orlando Watts Sr.
The loving couple will be joined by a host of family members and friends. Artisa and Orlando will have 10 attendants in their wedding. More than 150 guests are expected to attend.
Following the wedding and a joyous reception, the couple will enjoy a honeymoon, which is a secret at this time. After returning to Philadelphia, they will continue to reside here and enjoy their new life together as husband and wife.
“On this day, I will marry my best friend, my soul mate, the one I laugh with, live for and love,” said Artisa.
