Weekend violence has claimed the lives of three.
Blondell Reavis, 20, was shot April 14 at 11:51 a.m. in the 5900 block of Greenway Avenue. He sustained a gunshot wound to the left side. He was pronounced dead at 12:16 p.m. at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Police have no motive or arrests.
Khalil Stanley, 18, was shot April 14 at 10:41 a.m. in the 1100 block of West Wyoming Avenue. He was shot in the torso and pronounced dead at 11:03 p.m. at Albert Einstein Medical Center. Police have no motive or arrests.
Faye Conell, 49, was stabbed April 15 in the 1200 block of West Cambria Street. She sustained multiple stab wounds to the body. She was pronounced dead at 10:51 a.m. Police have no arrests or motive.
In an unrelated development, police have announced the arrest of Antonio Santiago, 29, of the 2000 block of Kennedy Street, charging him with robbing a 94-year-old woman.
On April 8 at 2:10pm, the victim was walking home from Bell’s Corner Supermarket on the 8300 block of Loretto Avenue when an unknown male approached the victim from behind and grabbed the victim's pocketbook, pulling her to the ground and fled. After an intense investigation and submitting video to the media, numerous anonymous tips were received within days after the video was aired by local news stations.
Santiago was arrested April 14 and charged with robbery, aggravated assault and related charges.
