COLLEGE PARK, Ga. — A gunman shot one person to death inside one of the largest megachurches in the U.S., police said Wednesday.

Fulton County Police Cpl. Kay Lester said the suspect was still at large after the morning shooting at World Changers Church International.

Lester said the wounded person was being taken to a hospital in critical condition but died.

The church's website states that it serves nearly 30,000 members. The church is led by the Rev. Creflo Dollar, its founder and senior pastor.

Lester said Dollar was not hurt. It was unclear whether he was at the church when the shooting happened.

The church didn't immediately return calls seeking details.

The church holds services Wednesday mornings in its chapel, where the shooting occurred.

It wasn't known whether that service had started or how many people were there, Lester said. Police got the call around 9:55 a.m. -- (AP)
