Bernard Hopkins, former light heavyweight world champion boxer and NFL free agent Raheem Brock recently addressed some graduating seniors at a luncheon in Philadelphia. Communities In Schools of Philadelphia honored high school graduates during its 2012 senior luncheon at the Lowes Hotel. More than 300 seniors that participate in CIS of Philadelphia programs such as Philadelphia Freedom Schools, Student Success Centers and the ELECT Teen Parenting Program, a partnership between the School District of Philadelphia and CIS of Philadelphia, were recognized for graduating and for their commitment to academic achievement.

Michael Vick to host celebrity charity golf of tournament

Celebrities will be coming to Stone Harbor Golf Club on June 18 for competition and to raise funds for a good cause, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Newport News and Philadelphia at the inaugural Michael Vick Celebrity Golf Tournament. Vick, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback, will host and play in the event along with a number of pro football players, local celebrities and sports people from the Philadelphia area.

West Catholic boys and girls summer basketball camp
